All Koreans Released
I intended to sleep early and wake up late yesterday night. I slept at 2am, and woke up this afternoon at 1pm. At least I accomplished one of my objectives. (:

Well all the Korean hostages kidnapped by the Taleban are released yesterday. Thank God. They were freed at around 12-1am Singapore time today morning. I know because I was watching the TV then, and the latest update popped up when I was viewing CNA. It is believed that South Korea paid a random for their released, not to mention the withdrawal of their troops and all. Finally the whole six-week saga has come to an end.
23 went, 21 returned. A minute of silence for the 2 who has gone home.
Prelims Exam
Well, it started. My Prelims examination. It’s a school exam I have to take before my GCE ‘A’ Levels.
Seriously, I’m not in the mood for studying. Not that I’m troubled or anything. It’s just that I don’t feel like revising. No motivation and hence delayed initiation. I don’t know why myself, but I know I don’t have a choice. I can’t afford to screw up my prelims can I? (Say no.)
Oh yeah. The exams actually started on Monday, much earlier than most of my friends from other colleges. Just had my last paper for this week. Papers will resume the following week after my a week’s break. Seriously, I feel like I finished my exams already after today. The whole thing will end on 17 Sept. Damn long isn’t it? It’s so draggy.
So far so good. Feel that all the papers I’ve taken so far were easier than Block Test 2 except for Chemistry. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t as prepared the last time. Well I didn’t feel prepared for any paper I’ve taken so far as well. Relied a lot on my memory of what I studied in the past. Still, things are going pretty well so far considering how slack I am, so maybe that’s a good sign. (:
The Bible says there’s a time and season for everything, yet I’m not studying much when it’s supposed to be time for doing that. I’m weird huh? (: But anyway, I’ve got to resumed my revision soon. Still got a lot to cover. Urghh, I feel so weary. ):
On a more positive note, I’m looking forward to tomorrow! No idea why. Nothing much tomorrow other than cell group. I think it because today feels so dead. Last paper this week, I’m beat. I feel so lazy now. Been ‘buying’ songs by 卓文萱 just now. Her songs are quite nice. It’s weird cause I don’t usually like chinese songs, but the ones I bought are really not bad. Go check her out. Maybe she’ll appeal to you. Sounds wrong.
Alright. I’m so going to sleep like nobody’s business later. I owe myself. (:
Sneezing like nuts
Hmmm.. I seriously wonder. Who’s the one out there who’s missing me so badly? I’ve been sneezing for nuts the whole day it’s like I’m having a really bad case of flu. Crap.
So if you reading and lurking out there, show yourself. It doesn’t hurt to know who misses me that badly. (:
Led Zeppelin: Stairway to Heaven
I’ve been listening to this song for the past few days. So beautiful. So wonderful. Surely one of the best by Led Zeppelin. Many people are saying that there’s a hidden message about Satan and all the crap when you play the song backwards. Well, I don’t really believe it. How absurd.
I mean, the words are all messed up and weird when played backwards. You can go Youtube and check it out but heck. It’s just a coincidence some of the words sound right, but who cares?
Just enjoy the music. (: The solo by Jimmy Page was simply amazing. I swear I’m going to be able to do that someday. Do leave a comment. (:
There’s a lady who’s sure all that glitters is gold, And she’s buying the stairway to heaven.
Hmmm? Oh. Crap.
Watch this video. It just freaking unbelievable. Don’t worry nothing will jump out to scare you. Just follow the instructions in the video. You’ll be surprised.
So… How many passes did you count? I got 14. :p
Do tell me how you feel after watching alright. (:
Singapore Personified: Wo-Man!
Well, National Day is coming. And Singapore will be 42 years old this coming 9th August. Mr Miyagi made three fantastic videos on it. I have to say they were a great joy to watch. Singapore as a rising star who still needs much guidance, a fierce but caring mother, and as a person who took care of all of us through the ages and whom we should repay. Hmm. What do I think? Of the three personifications, I agree with the rising star one the most.
Granted I’m only 18, the least I can say is I have no regrets being a Singaporean. Yes there are times when I feel that many other countries have so much more to offer, and I definitely want to travel and explore them one day as well. But the fact still remains that there is no other country that can compare with the kind of stability and peace Singapore enjoys. Singapore enjoys political stability, is not affected by natural disasters, and is a relatively developed country with a high standard of living. Yes these are the common reasons which people give; but I sure am a happy man to know that I won’t get killed by a roaming madman in school or by a sudden earthquake when I’m out. (:
What’s more, Singapore hold 18 years of memories for me. Not just memories of how Singapore changed and developed, but also that of friends and family. People who were once by me and now gone. Things I’ve done here and treasured and never will forget. Places I’ve went and no other place can compare (say… schools?). That’s Singapore, more than just a country.
My New Guitar
As of now, 2 South Koreans have been killed. Negotiations are still ongoing to secure the release of the rest of the 21. Read it here. Please continue praying for them. (:

Yes I’ve updated once again. (: Just this Wednesday, I finally bought my very own guitar. How cool is that? Finally I have a guitar to play with at home. It’s an acoustic Fina. Not really a high-end one cause well, I have a budget and I don’t have that much money. Furthermore, the money was meant to buy myself a new pair of spectacles in the first place. So yes. But, I’m still glad I got my own guitar now. (:
