I kinda miss the days when I was still a trainee in the army. BMT, Artillery, and especially Sispec. It was full of shit and full of fun. Those were the days. (:

Speaking of which, I really want to have a car of my own. Gosh.. Public transport is starting to suck more and more day by day ever since I started taking my practical lessons. Not to mention that I found this awesomely cool site that provides directions, durations, distance and rates of how to get from one place to another in Singapore via bus/mrt/car/cab. Duration for travelling by car beats public transport hands down. Realising that I can get to one place in 10 minutes by car compared to 45 minutes via public transport just plain suck.

Oh my gosh prac two was so fun.

I started the lesson being asked to change gears again and again, but at least that didn’t last for long. My new instructor (the previous one was the boss and he took me for the first lesson to decide which instructor would be the best for me) got me to drive round and round the car park (that was fun enough because I kept stepping on the accelerator even though he kept telling me not to but it got boring as well after a while) but I was totally stunned when he said, ‘Signal left we are going to turn out into the main road.’

Driving on the main road was totally exhilarating. That’s an understatement, though maybe it’s just because it’s my first time. I manage to book another lesson for the coming Friday, which is Labour Day, and on the coming Sunday as well.

I CAN’T WAIT.

I got my PDL on Saturday after guard duty, and had my first car driving practical lesson last Sunday. I have to say it was.. quite boring. Not to say that it wasn’t fun or exciting. I can’t wait for the next lesson this coming Sunday, but I felt that I spent one hour doing really repetitive and simple moves.

“Ok practice changing gears. 1, 2, 3, 4, reverse. 4, 3, 2, 1, neutral.”
“Now practice stepping on clutch/accelerator/brake, half-clutch, release, repeat.”
“Alright now practice changing gears again.”

*dang!* How many times you want me to do that man? I think I spent 10-15 minutes alone just changing the gears up, and then down again. I’m not an idiot. Don’t waste my time and money.

I think I have to speed things up myself. Step on the accelerator, burn some rubber and make my money and time spent more worthwhile. I hope I don’t wreck the car. (:

Today is a day worth celebrating, and remembering, simply because I passed my Basic Theory Test for driving. Go ahead laugh. It’s basic theory anyway. Big deal. BUT, that’s one step closer to my driving license. I booked my Final Theory Test on 7 May, one month from now. I am so going to pass it as well. I want to start my practical lessons asap too, but I just have to figure out a way to get my Provisional Driving License which can only be bought on weekdays, from 8.30am to 5pm, before I can start on the lessons. Now that’s a problem.

Early release? Not a chance in this week.
Half day off? Sucks because I don’t want to waste my offs on this.

I just have to think of a way. Oh and I’ve decided Comfort would be a better choice to take my bike license at. Nearer, more convenient. (:

This is absolutely hilarious. HAHAHA. (:

It’s the first day of the brand new year of 2009. Did you know that the year of 2008 was exceptionally longer than all the past years. Nope it’s not because of February 29th. 2008 is exactly one second longer than previous years. That’s due to the Earth rotating slower and slower around the sun. Saw this on the news yesterday. (:
