Welcome 2008
It’s the start of a new year! A brand new year awaits. New opportunities, new experiences, new stuff to learn, new people to meet, and not to forget as much as I don’t want them to happen, new setbacks. But hey! Let’s not be negative. 2008’s going to be a great year. A better year than 2007. From strength to strength, glory to glory!
I spent the last day of 2007 at grace’s house, together with some of the cell group members. We played tennis at Rolland’s house before heading to grace’s. So yeah we were watching the countdown show there, while playing cards, drinking, and just having plain fun. There’s a saying that goes, ‘How you end the year will be how to start the new one.’ I ended the year at grace’s, and started the year at grace’s. So what is that supposed to mean? Ok ok, I’m just being anal.
I won the Shepherd’s Heart award for this year’s appreciation night. Woo. Got a jacket from Grace.
As for the gift exchange, it turned out my angel was Junni, and she got me a Nalgene bottle. Just what I wanted. Yeah. I lost my previous Nalgene bottle, the one which survived the motorcycle accident with me. I would have liked to have the same one back, but a bottle is better than no bottle. The previous one will be hard to find since it’s no longer in production. An old model. Oh well..
I slept at around 3am plus last night. Were playing cards all the way. The first thing we did after some of us woke up was to play more bridge and eat Doritos.
So yeah. This first day of 2008 has been a great start for me. Had a great day. I caught I Am Legend at Cineleisure. The movie was not bad, but the ending was really quite abrupt. Still, the movie wasn’t the main point. The key point was the company.
So here’s to a great 2008 ahead. God bless!
Eighteen years young
I turned 18 on 14/9/2007. So as of now, I’m 18 years and 3 days young. Well, now that my eighteenth year on earth has passed, the next birthday I’m looking forward to is my 21st birthday. Can’t wait to be an adult. Happy belated birthday to me then. (:

My prelims ended today. The last paper was Biology Paper 1. Heck. I’m done with prelims. Well I went to watch Premonition with my classmates after the paper. I was a bit hesitant at the beginning. Got a nagging headache when I woke up today, but I went anyway. We watched the 11am show at The Cathay. After the movie, the headache got worst.
Premonition was messy, confusing and weird. I didn’t really understand the movie until the end where things became a little clearer. Still, I can’t say I understood it fully. I’m still a bit confused. Maybe it’s just me, but it was rather draggy as well. Urghh. The main thing is my headache got worst through the movie. Killed too much already damaged brain cells trying to figure out what’s going on. Read the critics and you know what I’m talking about.

I think I’m going to go rest for a while. Took 2 Panadols and I hope the headache goes away fast. It sucks. I’ve no school tomorrow, so I’m going to sleep like nobody’s business tonight.
Secret
Let me tell you a secret. I went out to watch Secret yesterday. Ok. That’s lame.
Alright. Actually, I went to the national library yesterday to study with some of my classmates. 4 of us in total. We were supposed to be there at 10am, but of course, some were late. I admit. I was.
Watching Secret was kind of an impromptu thing. We only decided on it halfway through studying. Ok so we left the library at around evening for Cathay Cineleisure to watch the 7.30pm show. The tickets were sold out when we reached. Crap. So we ended up walking to Dhoby Ghaut to watch the 9.15pm show at The Cathay.
The movie was pretty good. Not bad, just that the ending was kind of crap. The plot was totally unexpected, and that was good. I wasn’t expecting it to turn out that way. Oh well. Overall, it was worth watching. (:
Nothing else. Going off to collect my new spectacles now. I finally made a new pair. (:
